Gentian is a flower that grows on mountains and hills across France.  Since Ancient times, it's been used to purify and detoxify the body; it also works well in skin-toning formulas.

We use Gentian in our Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs, and our Tonic Bath + Shower Concentrate, which is made with 100% pure plant extracts to tone and condition the body - and to help relieve achy muscles that come with winter ailments.

If you enjoy French liquer, you can also drink your Gentian - it's part of the famous aperatif Suze, which has been sold since 1889, and even appears in a Pablo Picasso painting.  And last fall, Gentian was used in Missoni's ready-to-wear collection as a featured color.
