What do you wear to a Belle Époque party on an abandoned New York island? That was the dilemma when The Cools conspired to throw a Bastille Day bash at Governor’s Island. Officially, the event celebrated the opening of Fête Paradiso, a vintage-inspired amusement park. But those who came to show off their French-inspired outfits and dance until the final ferry call were widely welcomed–especially if they managed to weave bleu, blanc, and rouge into their street style choices!
