Paris Fashion Week isn’t just the place to discover new clothes. It’s also a hub for emerging beauty trends, which start on the catwalk and quickly spread all over the world. (Merci, Instagram!)
Clarins makeup artists were backstage at the Mugler show last week, creating an incredible new take on the smoky eye. Modeled by Mugler Women like Doutzen Kroes, Aya Jones, and Constance Jablonski, the eye uses gray shadow, black kohl eyeliner, and major mascara.
The effect is modern, chic, and just different enough to set you apart from the rest of the style set.
Here’s how to get it:
1. Dab Sparkle Grey eyeshadow across your top lid. You can do this gently with your fingers, or with a small but “fluffy” makeup brush. You only need one coat to keep the shadow sheer.
2. Trace your upper lash line with black kohl eye pencil. Get your inner and outer lid. Our liner is tested by dermatologists and opthamologists to ensure comfort and safety.
3. Sharpen your liner and gently trace the inner corner of your eye with an opaque black line.
4. Add black mascara on your top lashes only.
