It’s National Watermelon Day, but besides snacking on the popular fruit, we’re also using it in our beauty products. Here’s why:
Watermelon grows in semi-desert regions, so it’s had to adapt and evolve to thrive in extreme dryness. Because of that, watermelon is 90% water, and filled with vitamins and amino acids that provide toning and hydration benefits.
We use watermelon in our After Sun Moisturizer to help skin stay firm and lush after long days outside. It’s also excellent with mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinager in a summer salad, or as a fashion inspiration–Kate Spade has some super-cute watermelon accessories on sale now, while Vans and Keds both have limited-edition sneakers inspired by the fruit’s pink-and-black pattern. We’re also big fans of this Etsy sweatshirt because, why not?
